The new Gorillaz album is here

Ensuring that we can now all “trip balls,” just like that woman at the band’s recent concert, the new Gorillaz album has finally arrived. Humanz is the semi-fictitious group’s first studio album in almost seven years, and is currently streaming on Apple Music. (Presumably, Spotify and other streaming services will be along shortly, as well.)

Featuring, as ever, the talents of Blur’s Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett—in the form of cartoon cyphers Murdoc, 2-D, Russel, and Noodles—Humanz is also crammed with a motley crew of flesh-and-blood guest artists. Mavis Staples, Carly Simon, Grace Jones, De La Soul, Jehnny Beth, Pusha T, Kelela, D.R.A.M., Vince Staples, Danny Brown, and Noel Gallagher—who recently responded to a question about what his former Oasis partner would think about him collaborating with Albarn, his former Britpop rival, with a pithy “Nobody gives a fuck what Liam thinks about anything”—all feature on the 26-track release.
