Jason Segel and Nick Stoller’s forthcoming Muppet film has started to round out its human cast, and so far it’s decidedly easier on the eyes than The Muppet Movie’s Austin Pendleton and Milton Berle: Amy Adams is close to signing on to playing star/writer Jason Segel’s girlfriend, Rashida Jones could play an ABC executive, and the ravishing Chris Cooper could heat up the screen as the main villain, a guy who never liked the Muppets in the first place, and whose plans to dig up a movie studio to get at the oil underneath it are foiled by the Muppets’ reunion show. All that’s missing now is a Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, or Will Ferrell cameo.
