Since the first full trailer for Terminator: Genisys appeared last year, the movie has given off the faint whiff of disaster, as its story seems to recycle the franchise’s tropes and catchphrases into a half-baked soufflé of revisionist action-movie history. Which is why it’s fitting that the new 30-second trailer that debuted for the Super Bowl is almost wholly a recut version of the earlier one, with just a few new shots thrown in to try and distract from the fact that you’ve basically seen all of this before. Though, come to think of it, “Terminator: Genisys—You’ve Seen All This Before” would make for quite the tagline. You’ll have a chance to decide for yourself when the film lumbers mechanically into theaters on July 1, 2015.
