The new trailer for The Good Dinosaur has words and roars
Perhaps due to the behind-the-scenes shuffling of its voice cast, the first trailer for The Good Dinosaur relied heavily on some emotive music in place of any real dialogue. Luckily, Pixar realized that the story of an amiable Apatosaurus who befriends a little cave-boy while searching for his family could not be told through title cards and an Of Monsters And Men track only, so the second trailer has loads more words and even some roars.
The Good Dinosaur imagines a prehistoric world in which that one asteroid didn’t destroy all life on Earth, it just separated a family of dinosaurs. Young Arlo (Raymond Ochoa) is on his own after some stormy weather sends his dad (Jeffrey Wright) down a river. He soon teams up with a cave-boy whom he names Spot (Jack Bright) and a T. Rex named Butch (Sam Elliott). Arlo becomes increasingly more courageous, which is great—but since Butch is kind enough not to eat him, we have to wonder who is really the good dinosaur here.
The Good Dinosaur also features voiceovers from Frances McDormand, Anna Paquin, and Steve Zahn. The movie hits theaters on November 25.
