The next X-Men movie will see Professor X finally going bald already
For two X-Men films now, frustrated audiences have watched James McAvoy’s portrayal of Professor Charles Xavier while yelling, “C’MON, GO BALD! WHEN ARE YOU GONNA GET BALD?” Often, things are thrown. But at last, all of their protests and the countless lines of people demanding to see the theater manager will pay off, as McAvoy tells The Huffington Post that 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse will finally see him beginning to resemble the Professor X that fans of comic books and male pattern baldness demand.
“I’ll be older in this one,” McAvoy says. “I think I’m losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that’s kind of all I know.” Confirming that last bit, McAvoy adds that X-Men: Apocalypse will be “fairly apocalyptic” and that “it seems fairly global, if we’re talking apocalypse”—just letting the implication stand that it will also have a fair amount of X-Men, if that’s the sort of thing we’re pursuing here. But most importantly, it will presumably feature a scene where the supervillain Apocalypse holds him down and shaves his head, to the grateful cheers of the crowd.
