Seeing as it's a slow day and everyone's just waiting for the weekend to start already, why not indulge in a little unsubstantiated conjecture? That bastion of fair-and-balanced reporting, Fox News, says that recently installed NBC head of programming Ben Silverman is considering a spin-off of his pet project The Office featuring Rainn Wilson's popular character, Dwight Schrute. Obviously, this is the worst idea ever and hopefully NBC knows enough not to quit when it's not-even-close-to-ahead, but according to Fox, it's all "the buzz" over at NBC. The article goes on to say:
"Dwight is to The Office what Frasier once was to Cheers, so the idea isn't that preposterous."
Not to play their game or anything, but c'mon, really? Dwight = Frasier? If anyone has the geometric proof that makes those two line up, we'd love to see it.
