The original Upright Citizens Brigade to reunite for a night of improv at Carnegie Hall

Although only Amy Poehler has reached the highest levels of international recognition and fame, the founders of the Upright Citizens Brigade—Poehler, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh, and Ian Roberts—are legends in the comedy world. Their Comedy Central show is a cult classic, their theaters are some of the prime comedy incubators in the world right now, and they’ve individually appeared in dozens of TV shows and films. Now, the original founding crew is getting back together for one night only, performing an improvised set at New York’s Carnegie Hall.

It’s like our old piano teachers always told us: How do you get to Carnegie Hall? “Practice, practice, ass pennies.” The quartet will perform A.S.S.C.A.T., their signature improv format, creating a long-form piece of comedy based on a single audience suggestion. The show is scheduled for June 28, 2018, giving you just over a year to practice hard enough to get there.
