The cast of Parks And Recreation recently hosted a young man on behalf of the Make-A-Wish foundation, and the story confirms they are both awesome and generous. Reddit user Signal-7_10-4 shared the details of his visit, explaining that he has Von-Hippel Lindau syndrome, a rare genetic condition that gives him a predisposition to tumors. (He’s already had seven in his brain alone) He asked Make-A-Wish for a trip to the Parks set and, of course, it turned out to be the “best day of his life.” He said Amy Poehler was “litt-rally one of the kindest and most loving people” he’d ever met, and that “she just kept coming back for another conversation, hug, or picture”—many of which she took on her own phone. He also notes that Aziz Ansari, Jim O’Heir, and Jon Glaser came by the set to hang out with him, even though they weren’t shooting that day.
From the looks of the pics and description of the day, it seems like he was on set for either the opening of the new season or the end of the last one, with Poehler’s hair and Adam Scott’s tuxedo matching up with the fast-forward from this past April.
