The Rock And Roll Of Fame expresses remorse for not inducting Donna Summer

While the value of the honor remains dubious, some people are upset that Donna Summer, who died Thursday after a long battle with breast cancer, is not a member of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. This includes the guy in charge of the Rock Hall, chairman Jon Landau, who says "there is absolutely no doubt that the extraordinary Donna Summer belongs," especially now that she's no longer with us and we're newly reminded of how great she was.

Why isn't Summer there already? Landau blames the voters. "Regrettably, despite being nominated on a number of occasions, our voting group has failed to recognize her—an error I can only hope is finally and permanently rectified next year." Voting group, your hint has been dropped. [via Billboard]
