The Roseanne revival welcomes you back to Lanford

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Tuesday, March 27. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Roseanne (ABC, 8 p.m.): The Conners reassemble around the kitchen table, a little bit older, a few more in number, and with zero memory of Roseanne’s ninth season. It’s 2018, and though the world has changed, people seldom do, which means Roseanne and Dan still playfully needle one another, Roseanne and Jackie still fail to see eye to eye, and there are still two Beckys. Down-on-her luck Darlene has moved back in with her parents (with two kids in tow), and Danette Chavez is right behind her, setting up shop on that old familiar couch with the old familiar quilt for the rebooted 10th season.

Regular coverage

Black Lightning (The CW, 9 p.m.)
Rise (NBC, 9:01 p.m.)

Wild card

Splitting Up Together (ABC, 9:30 p.m.): The Tanners moved to Netflix, the Foxes never got their own revival off the ground, and nobody’s heard from the Taylors in ages. These days, Roseanne’s TV neighbors are the Johnsons of Sherman Oaks and the feuding spouses of this new comedy, starring Jenna Fischer and Oliver Hudson and adapted from a Danish format by Emily Kapnek.
