The Secret Life Of Pets trailer confirms they like to drink from the toilet
If you’ve ever wondered what your pets do when you’re not around, but are unwilling to pony up the money for that video phone that lets them call you with the touch of a paw, Louis CK and director Chris Renaud (Despicable Me 1 and 2) have gone through the trouble of imagining their shaggy shenanigans for you in The Secret Life Of Pets.
The trailer for the animated movie features Max (CK), a Jack Russell terrier who lives happily with his owner, Katie (Ellie Kemper). Max’s domestic bliss is shattered when he’s forced to share his food and home with Duke (Eric Stonestreet), a mixed-breed dog that Katie adopts one day. Duke lacks the terrier’s refinement, though, and Max grows to resent the interloper. The movie tracks the dogs’ incredible journey home, as they evade the dogcatcher and a genocidal CGI rabbit (Kevin Hart). They do get some help from their animal friends, including a cat and Pomeranian voiced by Lake Bell and Jenny Slate, respectively. That is, when said friends aren’t too busy cheering each other as they drink from the toilet.
The Secret Life Of Pets will be revealed when the movie hits theaters on July 8.
