For their new audio documentary Sklars And Stripes, Randy and Jason Sklar challenged themselves to write five to seven minutes of stand-up material specific to each community they visited. And these had to be jokes that locals would find funny—not just surface-level observations. To complete the challenges, the Sklars embedded themselves in cities around the country and explored those communities as much as time would allow. As a result, they walked away from the project with a good sense of what different parts of the country experience. They also got some great travel recommendations out of it, so we had the share a few.
