The Steve Harvey show is dead, long live some other Steve Harvey show

Having outlived many of its daytime talk cohorts—The Jeff Probst Show, The Ricki Lake Show, the mononymous wrath of KatieSteve Harvey’s self-titled chat series is coming to an end after five seasons on the air. But fear not, admirers of oversized suits and constantly rolling eyes: Harvey won’t be gone for long, because Deadline reports that he’s already signed a deal for a new daytime talk show, with a new production company and locale.

Yes, even as Steve Harvey burns down around him—and Family Feud remains his own personal Hell—Harvey is making the move to Los Angeles, where he also films Little Big Shots, Celebrity Feud, and ABC’s upcoming crowdfunding reality show Funderdome. (Steve Harvey hosts a lot of TV shows, is kind of our point.) The announcement comes shortly before the expiration of Harvey’s contract with TV studio EndemolShine North America; Harvey’s still-untitled new show will be made under the aegis of production company IMG, instead.
