The title track of Bad Luck’s Cold Bones is a slow-burning anthem

There’s a gruffness to Cold Bones, the upcoming album by Florida’s Bad Luck. But like the Social Distortion song that the young punk band oh-so-possibly might have taken its name from, that grit shields a melancholic center—although it’s worn down to the nerve on the album’s title track, which is being debuted here. Simmering and downright balladic in a Gaslight Anthem sort of way, the hooks seep out slowly and bittersweetly as the song builds into a triumphant bummer of an anthem.

Cold Bones will be released July 15 via Tragic Hero Records.
