The trailer for An Idiot Abroad: Ricky Gervais takes his abuse of Karl Pilkington worldwide

Here’s your first look at An Idiot Abroad, the latest in an ongoing series of shows featuring Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant heaping abuse upon their special friend Karl Pilkington. In the travelogue series debuting in the U.K. this September (and, one would presume, in the U.S. eventually), Gervais and Merchant send Pilkington to various places around the world because he “hates anything foreign, everything different,” and because Gervais “knew [he’d] hate it, and that’s why I did it.” Which is always good for a laugh.
