Here’s the trailer for Vampires Suck, the latest comedy simulacrum from Date Movie/Disaster Movie parody pariahs Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. The title pretty much tells you all you need to know: Those crazy kids and their goofy Twilight movies are totally gonna get what’s coming to them, and no one—not Lady Gaga nor the cast of Jersey Shore—are safe from being pointed at and addressed with a “yes, these people exist and references to them are inherently funny.” Much like the cold embrace of death, we all knew this was coming, but that doesn’t mean we’re ready to lean into it just yet.
