The Transparent season 2 trailer is a (dysfunctional) family affair
The season two trailer for Transparent temporarily swaps navel-gazing for stargazing, with a nice voiceover about the scope and age of the universe that tries to put the Pfefferman family’s troubles in perspective. But you needn’t worry about how quickly they can get bogged down in their own issues again, because faster than you can say “inherited trauma,” someone’s storming off.
Maura (Jeffrey Tambor) is moving forward in her transition, though she’s not entirely certain she wants to undergo gender reassignment surgery. Ali’s (Gaby Hoffman) doing what she does best, which is finding a way to blame everyone else for her troubles. Josh (Jay Duplass) is still trying to prove himself worthy of Raquel (Kathryn Hahn). Sarah (Amy Landecker) and Tammy (Melora Hardin) are on the outs, possibly, as Sarah keeps dropping in on her estranged husband, and Tammy calls the Pfeffermans “monsters.” And yes, Maura finally gets some much needed “yass, queen” instruction.
Transparent season two premieres December 11 on Amazon.
