Online brand protection is an important part of any big corporation’s strategic playbook these days; after all, you don’t want your critics or rivals to be able to post scathing takedowns at “YourCompanyKillsPuppies.net.” Still, most big brands aren’t also intimately tied to one of the most divisive political figures in recent memory, so it’s kind of fascinating to see the sorts of preemptive URL insults Donald Trump and the Trump Organization have staked a claim on over the years, including TrumpIsFired and TrumpVodkaSucks.com.
This is per Politico, which notes that the Trump Organization renewed hundreds of unused domain names last year, just a few weeks before its then-leader became the official Republican nominee for president. Some of these are the usual sites for Trump’s various properties, or possible future prospects like the ominous TrumpDrone.com or TrumpOnIce. (To say nothing of the dozens of URLs associated with the legally embattled Trump University.)
A great many, though, seem to have been generated by Trump’s own team, working to come up with the spots where the future president was most likely to get slammed. Several relate to accusations of fraud, for instance, specifically levied at Trump’s personal multi-level marketing scheme, the Trump Network. URLs apparently linked to the “vitamin sales company” include TheTrumpNetworkSucks.com, TrumpFraud.org, DonaldTrumpPyramidScheme.com, TheTrumpNetworkPonziScheme.com, TrumpNetworkMarketingScam.com, and several similar addresses. (There’s also the remarkably prescient DonaldTrumpWontShutUp.com, registered all the way back in 2009.) Again, these are names Trump and his team came up with on their own, presumably because even the low self-awareness threshold Trump regularly exhibits is high enough to have a sense of what people really think of him.
In any case, Politico has a handy, easily perused collection of all the Trump Organization’s domain names, in case you need to double-check that your new protest site is still available. (For the record, ChristDonaldTrumpIsStillPresident.com, and TinyBabyHands.com are both still free.)
