The U.S. version of Morrissey's Autobiography reportedly excises his same-sex relationship

Though his relationship with photographer Jake Walters wasn't described in explicit detail in Morrissey's Autobiography, it was apparently enough to cause consternation somewhere: SPIN (via Contact Music) is reporting that the U.S. version of the book (out this week, along with an audiobook read by The Walking Dead's David Morrissey) removes details about the relationship, as well as a photo of Walters as a boy. We have yet to do a side-by-side comparison ourselves, but assuming it's true, perhaps our import copy just increased in value by $2. Whatever led to the change—dare we say cover-up?—there's no hiding the photograph that Walters took for the inner sleeve of Morrissey's 2008 Greatest Hits collection, which doesn't seem like the kind of photo you take of somebody who isn't… more than a friend.
