The Vacation reboot starring Ed Helms has taken another step toward reality
The next-generation Vacation reboot starring Ed Helms that everyone hoped would just end up just quietly dying in the backseat like Aunt Edna is one step further to reality with the casting of the improbably named Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins. (Those are their real names, apparently.) The kids will play Rusty Griswold’s sons, whom he will subject to a cross-country road trip to Walley World in honor of the one undertaken by his family in the historical drama National Lampoon’s Vacation. Christina Applegate will play their presumably beleaguered mother, and Chris Hemsworth is playing a character named Stone Crandall. (Unless that’s an IMDB mistake, and is actually the real name of another child actor.) There’s no release date yet, so there’s still time to ditch Helms and cast Anthony Michael Hall in the lead. Hold tight, Farmer Ted, and keep your ringer turned up to “high.”
