The Wachowskis are the latest directors to be rumored for Justice League movie they will eventually deny any involvement with

After being rumored as one of the first directors who will inevitably deny any involvement with Warner Bros.' Justice League movie, Ben Affleck has denied any involvement with Warner Bros.' Justice League movie. "One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumors get started," Affleck said in an interview with Canadian press recently, possibly while gearing up to run for Canadian prime minister so that he can officiate at the upcoming wedding of Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger. (Does Ben Affleck also regularly participate in threesomes with Lavigne and Kroeger? We'll explore that possibility on upcoming pages.)

With Affleck officially out and possibly having illicit sex with Canadian celebrities, entertainment web sites are now free to spread rumors about other possible directors for the job—like the Wachowskis, who are also on the studio's short list according to Moviehole. Of course, any involvement with a project as unwieldy as Justice League would seem to conflict with the siblings' schedule for completing the already-announced Jupiter Ascending. But it's certainly not unthinkable that the Wachowskis could be in the rumored running for the job thanks to the studio being "jazzed" with their work on Cloud Atlas, especially during the weeks when Warner Bros. wants to build buzz for that movie. So let's go ahead and consider the Wachowskis the front-runners for the project, at least until Ruben Fleischer's name is coincidentally "thrown around" during the weeks leading up to Gangster Squad.
