The Walking Dead broke yet more ratings records last night

Another Walking Dead event, another ratings record for AMC, which saw the show’s second season finale attract an approximate 9 million viewers who tuned in to see the Apocalypse Dumpling Gang make their long-awaited exit from Runaround Farms. The episode was both the series’ most-watched ever and likely the network’s all-time highest-rated series television outing, and Dead is now definitely the top-rated show in cable history among the 18 to 49 demographic. “Even bigger than Silk Stalkings?” you ask. Oh, man, yes. Quantifiably bigger than Silk Stalkings. In fact, let’s not even bring up Silk Stalkings, because it would be needlessly embarrassing to the fine people behind Silk Stalkings.
