The Walking Dead's Robert Kirkman sold his exorcism show to Cinemax

Though it was reported back in March as a possible AMC series, the network has apparently decided that The Walking Dead, The Talking Dead, the upcoming Walking Dead companion series, and Thief Of Thieves may be enough Robert Kirkman-based shows for now, letting the comic-book creator’s new series about exorcisms land elsewhere.  Instead it’s ended up on a channel attempting to outrun its own hordes of dead-eyed, sticky zombies: Cinemax, which will add an adaptation of Kirkman’s upcoming Outcast to its growing roster of non-softcore original programming. The comic, set to debut next year, follows “Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child,” and who is now on a mission to figure out why—the answer to which might mean “the end of life on Earth as we know it.” But that’s cool, because life gets pretty dull sometimes. It probably hurt to have some more demons and very-loosely-integrated-into-the-storyline nudity to liven things up.
