The War For The Planet Of The Apes is underway in first trailer
The longstanding conflict between man and ape, which began in 1963, comes to a head in the first trailer for War For The Planet Of The Apes. Previous entries in the reboot featured James Franco and an eroding peace between the two species, but now it looks like Caesar (Andy Serkis) has finally given up on getting along with the humans. That might have something to do with Woody Harrelson’s colonel character preparing for all-out war in camouflage and everything. There are no real surprises in this trailer; it’s full of the kind of stuff you expect to see in a Planet Of The Apes movie, including lots of apes and landscapes. Caesar’s orangutan comrade Maurice does rescue a human girl, which doesn’t sit well with the ape leader, but he appears to deal with it.
The War For The Planet Of The Apes hits theaters July 14, 2017.
