The Weeknd releases a new track, "Enemy"

The Weeknd’s singular strain of dark R&B has become so established over the course of his three mixtapes, it’s easy to forget that singer Abel Tasfaye has yet to release a proper album. Tesfaye’s debut Trilogy—which will largely consist of remasters of House Of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes Of Silence with a handful of new tracks—is currently set for a November 13 release, but until then, fill that “Life Of The Party”-sized hole with the just-released “Enemy.”

“Enemy” sees Tesfaye squarely in his comfort zone, trying to sweet talk a girl into increasing depravity. But it also features some of Tasfaye's most self-reflective lyrics yet, suggesting a look back at those three mixtapes’ worth of seduction.
