It's been quite a year for downer R&B act The Weeknd, whose House Of Balloons mixtape landed at No. 6 on the A.V. Club best music of 2011 list. We also quite liked the Weeknd's second mixtape of 2011, Thursday. Now comes the third part of a promised trilogy this year: Echoes Of Silence can be downloaded here. It opens with a sleazy redux of Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana"—which we're surprised the Weeknd hasn't already covered—and gets darker from there.
