The Weinstein Company is blatantly selling internships now

After suburban car dealerships, entertainment is America’s most nepotistic industry. But what about all the rich dipshits out there whose parents don’t already know Harvey Weinstein? Who will protect their interests? The Weinstein Company, displaying the same visionary business sense that made them an entertainment powerhouse, has a solution.

TWC just auctioned off an internship opportunity to the highest bidder on a website called Charitybuzz—making it totally okay to make someone pay to work for you for free, because it’s for charity. The amount of the winning bid is undisclosed, but Gawker reports that bidding was at $13,000 as of Wednesday afternoon. This “very rare opportunity” comes with no guarantee of future employment at TWC, but it does teach whoever claimed the prize the invaluable rich-person skill of solving problems by throwing money at them.
