“The Wes Anderson Mixtape” remixes the director as an homage to his style

Wes Anderson is one of the most stylized filmmakers around. His imagery and themes are repeated throughout his films, but always in a manner that is just different enough to avoid being trite. Eclectic Method released a “remix” created from Anderson’s films, along with a video to highlight the similarities among them. The artist likens Anderson’s films to a toy house, the actors being dolls, and he describes the song as “a cross section of a doll’s house–the themes and styles blended and mashed together.” Some highlighted themes include smoking, stairs, fighting, slow motion (duh), and many more. Watch and listen below. Remember, the characters are all fictional.
