The Worf Of Starfleet is a treat for Trekkies, Scorsese fans, and pun nerds

Here’s an understatement: Jordan Belfort, the former stockbroker whose memoirs were adapted into The Wolf Of Wall Street, doesn’t have much in common with Worf, the Klingon first officer from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. One values honor, the other money. One is stoic, the other has a shit-eating grin permanently smeared across his face. One is a Klingon, the other was indicted for securities fraud and money laundering in 1998. But they both have a way with the ladies, as demonstrated by the parody trailer “The Worf Of Starfleet.”

The trailer is edited by Grant Gourley, who’s posted Star Trek-related remixes to YouTube in the past. And despite a noticeable lack of Quaaludes, “The Worf Of Starfleet” hits every beat of the Wolf Of Wall Street trailer, practically down to the second. Gourley even juxtaposes Matthew McConaughey’s chest-beating cameo in The Wolf Of Wall Street with Worf and his pal Huraga singing a Klingon drinking song on the DS9 episode “The Way Of The Warrior.” MajQa’, nerd!
