The world is a vampire and so is Mel Brooks in the Hotel Transylvania 2 trailer

From the makers of Hotel Transylvania comes Hotel Transylvania 2, answering questions like, “How can we make more money?” and “Do you think a sequel would make us more money?”

The sequel picks up a few years after the original, and the hotel is now allowing not only werewolves and vampires but humans—the real monsters—to stay as well. Adam Sandler’s Dracula is now grandpa to Mavis and Johnny’s redheaded actual child, Dennis. In this new adventure, the proud parents are looking to move their new family away from Transylvania to California, a land where vampires can feel at home. Grandpa Dracula becomes worried that Dennis is not embracing enough of the vampire side of the family and takes his grandson on a Gran Torino-style journey into manhood. Classing up the joint this time around is comedic royalty Mel Brooks as Dracula’s dad.

The newest entry in the Hotel Transylvania saga is being helmed by the original’s Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of Samurai Jack and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Hotel Transylvania 2 is slated for release September 25, 2015.
