Last month, CineFix’s Homemade Movies series called upon the power of Grayskull for a goofy recreation of the intro for the He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe cartoon. The results that time around were respectable, but the source material wasn’t exactly very interesting to begin with. For the latest installment, though, Homemade Movies has taken on one of the most iconic scenes in sci-fi movie history: The Power Loader fight in Aliens between Ripley and the Xenomorph Queen. The original scene is very cool, but special effects technology being what it was in 1986, the fact that this team was able to recreate it isn’t especially shocking all on its own.
Still, the video is almost worth watching just for the homemade sound effects, which make the scene feel just like a couple of kids acting out the battle with some toys.
