There be dragons in the first trailer for Game Of Thrones' final season

Game Of Thrones’ surviving characters, the likes of whom we recently saw taking turns on the Iron Throne, all look scared as hell in the new trailer for the show’s final season. All of them, that is, except for Gendry, the bastard son of Robert Baratheon who, despite not getting his own emoji, will undoubtedly hammer the Night King into icicles. Okay, probably not, but we’re happy to see a brawny Joe Dempsie in this trailer, which also features, ya know, Jon and Arya and Tyrion and Daenerys.

Everyone’s eyes are in the sky in the clip, as Rhaegal and Drogon soar over the huddled masses, inspiring everything from awe to fear to whatever the hell Cersei is doing . She’s the wild card in all of this, we venture: Will she join the new Queen aid her enemies in eradicating the Night King’s army, or will she simply sip her wine as the world burns, the Mountain’s zombified husk gently washing her feet?

We’ll find out on April 14, when the first episode of the six-episode season premieres.
