There’s an Archer radio station, and no, it’s not just “Danger Zone” on repeat
Like a team of former covert ops turned drug runners, the Archer cast has morphed into DJs for its own radio station for Slacker Radio. Slacker invited the cast of the show to appear both in and out of character to discuss some of their favorite songs and play them on their “I am the DJ” segment. And no, it’s not just “Danger Zone” on repeat (although if they are looking for a great cover, Calexico’s version for A.V. Undercover wouldn’t be a bad inclusion). The artists range from Al Green to Kenny Rogers, Eazy-E to Miike Snow, R.E.M. to Kenny Loggins himself. The songs are interspersed with cast members H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Amber Nash (sploosh!), Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, and Lucky Yates appearing both as themselves and their characters sharing stories about the show and why they chose the songs they did. It’s an eclectic mix that also provides some laughs and a bit of insight into the show and its actors. Click here to listen to the channel.
And it’s always a good excuse to re-watch the Danger Zone music video FX put out for Archer:
