We’ve seen the toll that Humans’ central conflict has taken on organic and synthetic life alike, but one recent loss was more devastating than most.
Last week, Karen (Ruth Palmer) sacrificed herself to protect Sam (Billy Jenkins), one of the few seraphs to have made their way out in the world. She’d spent years passing for a human, so she thought she could keep Sam safe, despite living in a town full of synth-phobic people, including Joe Hawkins (Tom Goodman-Hill).
The shopkeeper was coming around to synths once more, after a disastrous (to say the least) experience at home, while his estranged wife Laura (Katherine Parkinson) fights for their rights. But in this exclusive clip, they momentarily set aside their differences to offer refuge to little Sam, who is an adorable (albeit temporary) addition to the Hawkins family.
