These fan-made opening credits for The Walking Dead have redeemed the Internet today

The term “fan-made” is generally code for “took a bunch of out-of-context clips of people making pouty faces and set them to an Owl City song,” but that’s definitely not the case with Daniel Kanemoto’s fan-made opening credits for AMC’s The Walking Dead, which is one of the few things currently giving the Internet a good name. For his clip, Kanemoto—an animator who's done work for the Travel Channel, USA Network, and Nickelodeon in addition to his own short films—went back to the source, borrowing artwork from Robert Kirkman’s comic-book series (illustrated by Charlie Adlard and Tony Moore) and creating this cool animated sequence set to the Eels’ “Fresh Blood.” AMC should probably go ahead and buy it.
