They Might Be Giants seeking fan pictures for a new music video
Best Children’s Album award winners and geek-rock legends They Might Be Giants are asking for fans from across the globe to send in pictures of their children posed with their country’s flag, a portrait, and an emblematic symbol of that country. The crowdsourcing is all for a music video of the group's song “Alphabet of Nations,” off of the Here Come the ABCs album, with the hopes of eventually forming an entire alphabet of countries and the children that inhabit them. The band is currently seeking photos from a variety of countries, including (but certainly not limited to) Azerbijan, Hungary, Zaire, and the presumably exotic West Xylophone. Children—and children at heart—from all countries are encouraged to mug it up and post their pictures by August 1 to the band’s Tumblr for consideration.
