For the past month, fans of The Flash have been kept waiting in anticipation of the season’s end game. As this new trailer for the final season arc demonstrates, all that patience is about to pay off with some major story changes. Released in tandem with the show’s PaleyFest panel this past weekend, the above trailer teases some serious revelations for the Central City gang. Along with the return of some popular recurring villains (hello, Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold!), we get a glimpse at some new baddies (nice to meet you, Mark Hamill’s Trickster!). But the real tease comes with Tom Cavanagh’s Reverse Flash, who looks to play a major role in the coming episodes, as the gang learns he’s not who they thought. We get hints of trouble in paradise for the love triangle of Iris, Eddie, and Barry. There’s people getting shot in cold blood. It all looks very dark and worrying for our hero—as everyone’s favorite Arrow crossover guest, Felicity, says, “I thought Central City was supposed to be the fun one!” The Flash returns tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
