Third Man Records expands to Detroit

Third Man Records has announced plans to open a Detroit branch. The Jack White-fronted label was founded in the city in 2001, but is mainly based in Nashville. Still, the company has purchased a building in the city’s Cass Corridor, which it will share with watch, bike, and leather goods manufacturer Shinola, which is also planning to start making speakers, headphones, and turntables. The new space should be open by Black Friday and will boast both a retail space for the label, as well as some offices.
