Third Man releasing a White Stripes live album and new single from The Dead Weather
Jack White-run label Third Man is lining up its next few releases. With a new Dead Weather record on the horizon for 2015, the label will release the group’s newest 7-inch, “Buzzkill(er)/”It’s Just Too Bad,” this fall. The single will be pressed on gold vinyl and will be initially available only via Third Man’s subscription club, which sends members exclusive records every few months.
The label will also release a new live White Stripes LP later this year. Live Under The Lights Of The Rising Sun was recorded in 2000 while the group was touring Japan. A preview of one of the album’s cuts, a live “Hello Operator,” is below, as is a look at “Buzzkill(er).”
