This video imagines what Super Smash Bros. would be like with Valve characters

When Super Smash Bros. debuted on the Nintendo 64 back in 1999, it offered gamers who had grown up loving the likes of Mario, Link, and Samus Aran the opportunity to finally see what would happen if all of their gaming icons were put in one place and allowed to beat the crap out of each other. Games like Dissidia Final Fantasy and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale took that idea and applied it to other popular series, but there remain an alarming number of video game characters who haven’t yet been able to cross into each other’s worlds and beat up whoever they find there.

In the hope that this situation might be amended, YouTube user crazyhalo has created a fantastically detailed video that recasts the opening of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Melee with characters from Valve’s stash of games. It’s not real, but it may set off discussions over whether Half-Life’s Gordon Freeman could beat up Portal’s Chell or any of the cast from Team Fortress 2, which could become real enough.

Crazyhalo did a fantastic job replicating the opening to Super Smash Bros. Melee down to the smallest details. Sample this side-by-side comparison before resuming to wish this game into existence.
