This Week in Nuisance Lawsuits: Taco Bell Countersues 50 Cent

If you're like most people, you couldn't give a mad-ass fuck about 50 Cent's recent lawsuit against Taco Bell for impugning his good name by trying to rope him into a tacky publicity stunt where he'd temporarily change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent to help publicize its new value menu in exchange for a whopping 10,000 dollar donation to 50's charity of choice. Incidentally, I imagine 50 made more than 10,000 dollars in the time it took me to write this sentence.

50 was apoplectic about Taco Bell's tactics. He understandably wants his name to be associated only with positive things like drug-dealing, shootings, murder and mindless attention-grabbing feuds with other rappers, not shitty fast food. Taco Bell has struck back by countersuing 50. In what allhiphop.com calls "a harshly worded lawsuit" Taco Bell reportedly called 50 "a self-described former drug dealer and hustler" (that, um, Taco Bell wanted desperately to do business with) who is "arrogant". They neglected to also mention that his acting sucks, as did that last G-Unit album. Read more about it here. In other 50 related news, his next album's release date has been pushed back to next year. Oh, and 50 recently bragged that his reality show got even better ratings than A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila. That's really something to be proud of, 50.
