We’re delighted to announce (or sorta re-announce) that this week’s gold-star Undercover sessions—Flock Of Dimes and Sylvan Esso covering Gillian Welch and Crowded House—will be released as a seven-inch single later this year. Partisan Records will issue the single on November 27 in a limited edition of 500, which you can pre-order right here. The cover of the single will feature a photo (taken by yours truly) of the three musicians/friends eating pie in the Undercover studio. The significance of the pie? We recorded both songs on Pi Day of this year. Now you know.
Sylvan Esso continue their victory lap celebrating their self-titled debut, touring throughout this year at big ol’ festivals and other shows. Jenn Wasner will play a few Wye Oak shows with Andy Stack this summer before finishing her debut solo album—under the name Flock Of Dimes—for release this year. Dates are below!
