Thom Yorke released one of his moody, dreamy "spells" from the Suspiria soundtrack
Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria remake boasts a pretty unquestionable roster of talent; in front of the camera, we’ve got Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, and the enigmatic, possibly fictitious Lutz Ebersdorf. Behind the camera, there’s Call Me By Your Name director Guadagnino, plus a soundtrack from Radiohead mastermind Thom Yorke, taking a page from his old buddy Jonny Greenwood’s “Soundtrack every movie on the planet” book.
Yorke has previously said that he hasn’t been composing songs for the witchy remake’s score so much as he has been “making spells,” exploring the space around the film’s visuals and themes. Now you can judge the potency of his magic for yourselves, with Yorke releasing a music video for on of his soundtrack songs, the dreamy, moody “Suspirium.” And don’t worry, spoilerphobes anxious for the film’s October 26 release: Given that the music video seems to be entirely made up of thermal-looking images of people dancing creepily, you should be fine to watch it ahead of the film’s release.
