Thomas The Tank Engine will hunt your ass down in new Resident Evil 2 mod

In the new remake of Resident Evil 2, Mr. X (formally named T-00) is a sort of undead Kool-Aid man, bursting through walls to scare and subsequently beat the shit out of you. He is, in a word, unpleasant. Never content to let sleeping humanoid bio-weapons lie, however, modders have replaced Mr. X with something even more horrible: Thomas The Tank Engine.

This abomination comes to us from modders ZombieAli and DJ Pop. While Thomas the Tank Engine has long been a popular addition to games (see his cursed countenance ruining Skyrim here), he works especially well as Mr. X. Here, Thomas chugs along with a strange, lilting gait, his theme music growing steadily louder as that unflinching grin inches closer and closer. When one takes into account Thomas’ actual origins in weird authoritarianism, its actually not that hard to imagine a train-human hybrid getting cooked up by Resident Evil’s Umbrella Corporation.

If anthropomorphic trains aren’t your jam, Mr. X has also been modded to play DMX’s “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” and show off how hard he’s been hitting the gym.
