Pretentious news from Britian as an online poll finds that Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice is the number one book readers can't live without, Guardian reports. It's up there with other books that take fucking forever to read, including Thomas Hardy's Tess Of The d'Urbervilles and Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. There must be some element of truth to the poll, though, as the Harry Potter series ranks two slots above the Bible. Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, however, gets royally screwed at number 25. Come on, Brits, everyone knows that was more fun than the Lord Of The Rings series, which collectively took second place.
