Thunderbirds Are Go-ing to be on Amazon with new episodes this year

The Tracy brothers were rescued from obscurity last year when Britain’s ITV Studios gave Thunderbirds a digital makeover in its Thunderbirds Are Go! series. And it looks like the the Good Samaritans of the International Rescue will have plenty more opportunities for good deeds as Coming Soon reports that Amazon has not only picked up the series, but has already ordered four 13-episode seasons.

The remake still centers on the altruistic Tracy brothers, their rad, all-terrain (and then some) vehicles, and the many people they save. Lady Penelope is still doing the secret agent thing; she was voiced by Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) in the first season of the remake. The rest of the cast includes Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Phineas And Ferb) and David Graham, who voiced Brains and Gordon Tracy in the original series. The first of the four seasons Amazon has ordered will stream for Prime members later this year.

If you’re curious about the switch in aesthetics from “Supermarionation” to digital, here’s the trailer for the first season of the ITV remake.
