Tim Allen plotting a return to TV?

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Tim Allen may be planning a return to prime time for the fall 2011 TV season. One of EW’s multiple sources claims that the former Home Improvement star has been taking “a few select meetings” with writer-producers, possibly including The Office’s Greg Daniels. Despite a movie career that has been hit-or-miss (mostly miss) over the last decade, Allen is a sought-after commodity by TV execs, and his potential return to prime time is sure to create a major stir this development season. As of late it seems that Allen’s voice work is also quite the commodity: In addition to Toy Story 3, Allen can be heard in upcoming ad campaigns for Chevrolet, Campbell’s Soup, and of course those awesome Pure Michigan ads.
