Tim Meadows and Nick Thune join seasonal migration to new pilots

Answering a call that comes from deep within, a drive comprehended by few and questioned by none, comedians Tim Meadows and Nick Thune have joined the herds of their funny brethren participating in the eons-old migration known as pilot season. For Meadows, this marks the return to his old NBC nesting ground, coming back to the place where he once spawned laughter as a Saturday Night Live castmate (and felt the cold sting of rejection via The Michael Richards Show) to join David Caspe’s Casey Wilson-Ken Marino sitcom, Marry Me. For deadpan guitar-plucker Thune, the Natasha Lyonne-led Old Soul is a chance to recapture what was so cruelly snatched from the nest when Garfunkel & Oates’ HBO pilot failed to go to series in 2012. Undeterred, that duo forges forth with its own IFC pilot, as comics have always done and will always do, until the ground is finally barren and the last guffaw has been guffawed.
