TOP PICK:
The Following (Fox, 9 p.m.): At long last, our national nightmare is over—at least for this year! The Following closes out its second season tonight, with some promised stabbing, mild to moderate yelling, and a standoff involving everyone’s favorite love interest, Claire Matthews. Will Natalie Zea ever escape this show? Will Sonia Saraiya lose her mind entirely while reviewing the finale? All bets, obviously, are off. Edgar Allan Poe takes no prisoners.

The Boondocks (Adult Swim, 10:30 p.m.): We’re not positive that we want to cover this weekly, but we also aren’t positive that the Fibonacci sequence isn’t a government conspiracy. So until we resolve both issues, we’re throwing Eric Thurm on The Boondocks fourth season. If you want regular coverage, send it some love.
RuPaul’s Drag Race (LOGO, 10 p.m.): And though season six of Drag Race isn’t going anywhere just yet, Drag Race’s bastard child Untucked airs its finale tonight. The remaining queens will have to get bitchy in the regular show, just like everyone else. Unfortunately, this means that Drag Queens Trying To Use Straws will not have any more material until season seven.

In anticipation of this network drama’s much-anticipated return to television on May 5, Todd VanDerWerff brings us a 100 Episodes on 24, Fox’s little drama that could.
In 2006, 24 was probably the most influential show on the air, the perfect Venn diagram intersection between critical cachet and huge viewership, a show that was watched by just about everyone who wanted to keep up with what was important in the culture at large. It was, perhaps, the last time a network drama would hold that title.
In addition, Molly Eichel takes a look at USA’s new sitcom, Playing House—about two best friends and a baby bump. And a ragtag crew of nerds offers a Game Of Thrones inventory: 14 major differences between the books and the television series.

Justice League Unlimited (noon): Oliver Sava comes to us at noon with more justice, whatever that means.
WHAT ELSE IS ON?
Antiques Road Show (PBS, 8 p.m.): Part two of three in Anaheim, California. Items include two pairs of Buddy Ebsen’s performance shoes, a jade jewelry collection, and an oil painting titled “Sacré-Couer et Moulin” by French artist Maurice Utrillo.
Star-Crossed (The CW, 8 p.m.): Everybody thinks Taylor is pregnant, and Eric and Julia share a moment. Someone else is almost definitely named Roman.
Rewrapped (Food Network, 8 p.m.): “The featured ingredient is SpaghettiOs.”
Sex Sent Me To The ER (TLC, 9 p.m.): “A secluded pasture is visited.” (This is probably the most disturbing episode description that TV Guide has ever written.)
Black Ink Crew (VH1, 9:30 p.m.): Second-season finale of a reality show about a tattoo parlor in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. Tonight, the shop throws Sky a birthday party, and Dutchess goes under the knife.
Metal Hurlant Chronicles (Syfy, 10 p.m.): Two episodes: A girl wakes up in a bunker with a man who tells her it’s the end of the world, and a man named Joe works to evade creditors.
16 And Pregnant (MTV, 10 p.m): “A girl with a troubled past gets pregnant while her mom is in jail.”
Pretty Woman (ABC Family, 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.): Julia Roberts learns how to eat snails, drink champagne, and shop with a credit-card in this modern-day Cinderella story. Roy Orbison guest-stars as the guy who is officially over it.
How Stella Got Her Groove Back (BET, 7 p.m.): Angela Bassett plays Stella, a woman who embarks on a quest to make black cinema relevant to non-black people. Regina King, Whoopi Goldberg, and Taye Diggs co-star.
A WHOLE BUNCHA PLAYOFFS (every channel, all the times): Guys, it’s kind of rough, writing about sports in the What’s On Tonight offices. At any given moment, some number of has some sense of what sports are, and why they are important, and even the all-important question: Who is winning? But tonight, we are feeling a little bamboozled by sports. There’s the Stanley Cup playoffs, which we’re told is a hockey thing, but the game matchup is TBA. To be announced by whom? Stanley, King Of Cups? And if so, can you give him our number, because doesn’t Queen Of Cups sound like a cool job? Also there is some basketball. Last week we learned that the Clippers existed; this week, we learned their owner is racist! So that’s basketball! Some games might occur, as well. Also, baseball on ESPN. Some sports are on TV. That is literally the best we can do today.
