TNT won’t open the door for a Let The Right One In adaptation

The quest to adapt Swedish vampire novel Let The Right One In yet again has stalled. According to Deadline, TNT refused to invite a series from Teen Wolf’s Jeff Davis into its stable of shows, despite having ordered a pilot last year. But production company Tomorrow Studios hasn’t given up hope yet, and may try to find a home for the story of bloodsucking child Eli.

The television version would have been added to a fairly lengthy list of interpretations of the tale of vamp-human friendship. Author John Ajvide Lindqvist, who wrote the original book, also penned the screenplay for an acclaimed 2008 film version. That was then remade for American audiences as 2010’s Let Me In. It’s also been transformed into a play.
